Glad Rags

Glad Rags are one of the most widely known and most popular brands of cloth menstrual pad brands.

Like most cotton pads Glad Rags have a two part design. This makes it easy to customize the absorbency. On lighter days you might use only the outer part (the portion of the pad that snaps on the panties) by itself, or just one liner inside the pad. The liner folds into the outer portion of the pad, and you can use several liners more heavier days if you need it.

The outer portion that wraps around the underwear is cotton flannel. It has a convenient snap closure to keep it snug against the underwear. Glad Rags are available in day/regular size and also postpartum/overnight sizes, as well as a variety of colors. They also have organic cotton pads.

Glad Rags sells waterproof carrying cases for travel and other menstrual products. I like Glad Rags a lot. They stay in place nicely and are very soft. They are a bit shorter than some other brands, but some women may prefer this design.

As a side note, when I first started using cloth pads, I expected to have more leaks at night but that has not been the case, in fact the opposite has been true. Cloth pads also don't stick to the skin or pull hair the way disposables do. Once you make the switch to cotton menstrual pads you'll never go back. Glad Rags cloth menstrual pads

Glad Rags and other cloth menstrual pads are superior for your health because they breathe and allow more air flow. The plastic that backs disposable pads contribute to yeast infections and unpleasant odor and increased sweating. They can also make existing skin conditions worse.
