You might be wondering where the new Natural Moms Talk Radio show is
this week. We'll be back on Monday with a great guest, Regan Barnes

I don't know about you, but this spring weather really gets my
blood moving. It's the changes in the sunlight that cause many of us
to get that "spring fever" feeling. Especially if you're sensitive to
the reduced light in winter, will you feel the effects of the extra
rays come spring.

It's a great time to do some extra cleaning and decluttering. A
friend of mine is having a yard sale tomorrow and invited me to
bring some stuff, so I'm cleaning out closets. Even with a strong
desire to reduce the stuff that comes into my home, there are still
the inevitable discarded toys, outgrown clothes, and things that
just don't work anymore.

I recently lost some weight and had clothes still that no longer
fit well. The best part about cleaning out your closets is that you
have room for new clothes. :) In addition, you can donate your old
stuff to a charity - many of them will pick up for you. You might
even be able to get a deduction on next year's taxes. Ask about
getting a receipt for your items.

Take all the winter stuff out of your closets; the heavy wool coats; parkas;
suits and pants outfits; make sure it's clean (to reduce the chance
it will get moth eaten in storage) then separate what you want to keep
and put the rest in a bag for pick-up by a charitable organization.  You'll
feel wonderful when you look at your half empty closet.  You can also
take out your summer clothes and separate them as well.

An herbal sachet would be a nice addition to help prevent that
musty smell. They're super easy to make. Just buy those muslin tea
bags at the health food market, and fill them with dried lavendar,
rose buds, citrus peel, whatever you like.

Talk with you next week and happy decluttering!
